Kira
Kira is an approximately 7 year old Golden Retriever female. We had been looking for another dog for a while and my mother went to the local county animal shelter one day. She was suprised to see that there was only one dog in the whole shelter and it was a Golden Retriever. My mother loved the dog and quickly drove to my school so I could see the dog. The animal shelter could not hold the dog so we were very rushed to get back to the shelter. When we got there we asked one of the workers if you could see her in one of the play rooms. As soon as we saw how friendly and playful she was we went right ahead and adopted her. She has been with us ever since and has proven to be an excellent dog. She likes to play fetch and play with her squeaky toys but sadly we can't play fetch with her as much as she would like because one of her tendons her back leg was torn and we don't want it to tear it again. One thing about her is she can jump extremely high, it's incredible, she probably would have made a good agility dog if she hadn't torn that tendon. Though she loves her toys she loves attention from humans more than anything, as is expected from a Golden Retriever. She is loyal, caring, and protective. We are so happy to have been lucky enough to find her.
