Auran Miraq (Miraq)
Miraq is a 13 year old registered Arabian mare. Miraq is the daughter of Sequinette. She is my mothers horse, and she is a very good trail horse. My mother trained her on her own using Clinton Anderson's Method. She is extremely smart and a quick learner. Basically one day after a lot of ground work and ponying my mother decided to ride her, and Miraq did great. Ever since they have been learning new things together and they have really developed an incredible understanding of one another through the process. I also used Miraq for 4-H in the Arabian halter class and she got Reserve Champion! It was her first time showing and I am very proud of her. I am sure she will continue to become better and better at everything my mom and I pursue with her and she will achieve many things!
One thing about Miraq is she is definitley a mare, and everything that being a mare implies. She is moody, she gets PMS, and she is kind of antisocial. Though she is not mean in any way she isn't an in-your-face pet me, love me, pay attention to me kind of horse. She also likes to be in charge of the other mares in the barn yard but Rock N Rachael is giving her a run for her money. Neither have injured another horse though so it is merely pinning ears and chasing that goes on. Miraq has also gotten a lot better at not being the top horse since she has gotten older and has had a few geldings move in. She is a good little mare and she should be my mothers main horse for a long time!
